Pro-Life or Pro-Choice - My Thoughts:

Pro-Life or Pro-Choice - My thoughts:

I'm torn on the issue of abortion.  On one hand I consider abortion murder - as in, the premeditated killing of a human life with malicious intent.  So with that in mind, carrying out the death penalty would be considered "murder".  On the other hand, I also consider abortion a necessary means to controlling population and a means to eliminate the result of poor life choices. The term "Pro-Life" and "Pro-Choice" have become too misleading and misrepresented.

I consider myself "Anti-Pro-Negative-Life-Choices" - quite the oxymoron huh?  Allow me to explain:

I'm pro-marriage.  I believe in morals & values.  I believe a man and a woman should NOT engage in sex until marriage.  But I am also a realist.  I realize unmarried people are going to have sex - and that's the problem.  Today's society is so hell-bent on a "do whatever you want as long as it makes you feel good" mentality that it's practically made everyone blind to the issues.  Seriously! Plan B pill?  Really?  A pill you can take the morning after just in case "you made a mistake"?  What happened to our morals & values?  OOOhhhh....  I know, who am I to make such a judgement?  I'm the guy that you expect to pay for your healthcare, your abortion, your Plan-B and your right to decide how my tax money is spent.  If you chose to have the illegitimate child, I'm the guy you expect to pay for your housing, your child-care, your child's healthcare, your food, your travel and your free cell-phone.  I'm your average Middle-Age White-Male who's made good choices his entire life and now is expected to pay for those that didn't. My outlook and opinion is based on things I've heard, read, seen and witnessed....   many people make poor life choices and expect others to pay for their mistakes.  It's that simple.

On the other hand:
I'm a business-man.  I'm trained to look at profit vs. loss.  A cost analysis if you will.  As a tax-payer, I look at the use of my tax dollars in a similar way.  I remove all emotions and feelings before making decisions that will affect the future of my company.  So when comparing my tax dollar payments and allocations, it costs a lot less money to simply murder the unwanted children rather than support them throughout their life.  I mean let's face it, an abortion is a minimal financial cost when compared to:
  • Prenatal visits
  • Ultrasounds
  • Hospital Visit
  • Epidoral
  • OBGYN
  • Postnatal visits
  • Child wellness visits
  • Immunitization
  • Formula
  • Diapers
  • Food
  • Housing
  • Child-care
  • Transportation
  • Phone Service
  • ETC....
In other words, it's much cheaper and more cost effective for women to simply kill their unborn babies rather than have people like me pay for them.  And since I don't know these people, nor do I care about them, I'm perfectly fine with aborting them.  As a matter of fact and now that I think about it, perhaps the mother should've been aborted too.  A "kill two birds with one stone" sort of situation.

For the record I do support choices.  I support CORRECT choices.  We all should've been taught right-from-wrong and if we didn't, then shame on your parent(s).  I support the CHOICE of abstinence until marriage.  I don't support poor decisions, emotions, feelings and your right to your body when it directly affects me and my tax dollars.

Take welfare and freebies OFF the table and I'm certainly against abortion.  But in our current society where too many folks simply expect hand-outs, welfare, charity and free everything, MY choice is somewhat limited and in that sense, I'm all for abortions. And since most Planned Parenthood and Abortion clinics are in ghetto neighborhoods, I won't even have to see it.  In fact, have all the abortions you want, just don't expect ME to pay for them!
